Use Tulips And Other Spring Flowers

I’m starting first with my favorite spring decorating idea: adding some spring-inspired flowers to your home.

Tulips and other spring flowers are inexpensive, come in many pretty colors, and offer a big dose of gorgeous spring to any room they are in!

Tulips are my Easter flower of choice. In fact, they are my favorite in the spring!

Put them in a wide mouth glass vase and let them fall naturally.

Or add greens like eucalyptus with them and put them in a pretty vase.

I can keep my tulips for about a week (maybe a little longer) if I buy them as tight unopened buds. Just follow the simple tips for HOW TO CARE FOR CUT TULIPS SO THEY LAST LONGER.

Think about adding other spring flowers like daffodils, hyacinths, and pansies to your Easter decor! Take the flowers out of their little plastic pots and plant them in a shallow bowl. Add moss and enjoy!

They make such a pretty Easter arrangement and only take minutes to assemble.

I’m using tete-a-tete daffodils in my kitchen this Easter.

Isn’t this the perfect and easy last-minute Easter idea? Decorating with tulips makes me so happy!

Make Easter Eggs

If dying eggs is on your to-do list this Easter why not dye them with yellow onion skins right in the water you boil them in? So easy and the effect is just stunning. Now, that’s what I call an easy last-minute Easter idea!

I remember my grandmother making these wonderful eggs and she said her mother made them. And we have passed this beautiful way of making Easter eggs down and now my grandbabies will see onion skin dyed eggs on the table Easter morning. I love traditions. It’s the glue that holds family generations together!

Think what a beautiful gift a small basket of onion skin dyed Easter eggs would be for someone who is hosting you for Easter dinner.

I’m dying these eggs this year and mixing them with the chinoiserie eggs I made! Orange, blue, and white look gorgeous together. It’s a chic Easter look.

If you start now you still have time to make stunning CHINOISERIE EGGS.

Best Last-Minute Tip

When holidays get busy carve out a little time to relax, decompress and regroup. You will be happier and so will your guests.

Make Ahead Dishes

Easter dinner will be much easier if there are dishes on your brunch or dinner table that you have made ahead!

We have a big family brunch every Easter morning and we basically eat the same thing. One thing I made every year is The Best Potato Salad. My family LOVES it! This is an oldie but goodie recipe. As I make potato salad this year I’ll update the images and content. But the recipe will stay the same.

My grandmother, Nani made this potato salad, and like the onion skin eggs, it was passed down from generation to generation.

If you are a guest for Easter this year, offer to bring something, like potato salad. I promise it will be the biggest hit!

Although this is not exactly a last-minute Easter idea, it will keep you from feeling harried and cooking at the last minute!
