EARLY FALL IN THE DINING ROOM
I am a huge fan of fall! I look anxiously for its arrival every year. Our countryside is at its very best during the fall months. It’s contagious! Besides Christmas, StoneGable gets decked out for fall! But I like to ease into the pumpkins and saturated leaves and mums. Right now I’m adding just a nod to my favorite season around the house. I thought I would give you peek at the dining fall inspired dining room.
Today on Decorating Tips And Tricks we are talking about HOW TO HAVE GREAT CURB APPEAL! Make the outside of your home be as fabulous as YOU!!!
Listen below:
You can listen to any and/or all of the episodes here.
Ready to peek into my dining room?
Instead of getting the pumpkins out I opted for a soft worn wood with a chippy and natural feel! The centerpiece is a lantern with a galvanized metal top. It mirrors the color of the concrete table!
As the season moves on I’ll add leaves and white pumpkins and gourds in the lantern!
I love candles on the dining room table but did not want to use my collection of mercury glass so I opted for these worn, long, turned candlesticks. They look like fall to me!
Just to add a little bit of fun I added the word F-A-L-L with big white wooden letters.
My table is fall ready!
I’ll share my buffet soon!
Are you planning to decorate your dining room this fall? Please share your ideas!

Love all the white. May try that,
Beautiful! Looking forward to fall also, and freshening decor. Thanks for
the inspiration and for helping me with my emails.
Making me rethink the Fall color scheme . I like the neutral!
Love it. Now I have to think where I put my candle sticks.
Lovely as usual. Your home is such a beautiful canvas!
The white color for the transitional time we are in now is an awesome idea. I like that you shared that you will later be adding pumpkins and mum’s for color. It is a beautiful room.
A nice way to step into fall……looks very nice. The candlesticks really make it look “fallish!”
Lovely dining room. I especially like the lantern on the table, would you please share where you found it? I always look forward to your inspirational blog and seeing your gorgeous home.
Hi Lori, I found it in a local shop here in Lancaster, Pa
Perfect transition between seasons!

Love your dining table! I love fall and spring! Thank you for the tips and design! Now go find candles, stands and everything fall God bless and have a blessed weekend
Simply gorgeous. What is the secret to hanging the lids? I have a collection, but haven’t discovered a good way to hang them.
Great question Patti, I have a post all about it HERE: https://www.stonegableblog.com/the-best-way-to-hang-plates-on-a-wall-without-wires-or-magic/
Your table looks great and I love the candlesticks. I need to pick up some bigger ones. The fall letters look good too. Ready to get into fall.
What a beautiful dining room. I love the FALL white letters!!!
Love your table and how everything comes together. Again, you have given me some great fall inspiration. Have a great weekend.
Angela
looks great love the big lantern.
Your dining room looks terrific! I especially love the bench with the ruffle slipcover! It is so pretty and really makes such a nice statement in your dining room.
Wow, I love all the candles. I just read a book “The Little Book of Hygge” and it’s about why/how the Danish people are so happy, they have a name for it “Hygge.” Candles are huge in their lives. 28% of the population burn candles every day and 31% of them burn more than 5 candles at a time. Their home is all about comfort and about family/friendship. Your home, Yvonne, seems very “Hygge.”
I love this delightful info Freddie. Heartwarming.
I am loving the lantern and the natural color scheme.
Great ideas. I really like the lantern.
Not sure your table reminds me of fall. Except for the letters, I would view it as a delightful setting for most any time of the year. Of course here in the central states our dew point yesterday was 74 and the humidity was 98. The air conditioning cycled on more than off all day. So forgive me but I just can’t think about fall decor yet- not until I can go outside without feeling like I’m carrying a 30 lb. pack on my back!
Blessings to you and yours. We are off to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary today.
Most people can’t right now Carolyn. But this post is for when you are ready!
The BIG lantern is a BIG hit! I really like it as a centerpiece, and it will be so versatile as the seasons progress.
Happy Friday!!!
Can you tell us where you found the “FALL” letters?
Hi Cheryl I got the letters from a local shop. Sorry I can’t tell you more!
The cement topped table is a gorgeous surprise~ LOVE it. Is it extremely heavy or are you able to move it around the room if you wanted to switch things around? I noticed the galvanized metal right away and how well it complemented the table~ no competing allowed. 🙂
Beautiful room. Thanks for sharing
Hi Carrie, the table is very heavy, but we have those sliders to put under the feet of our table and then we can move it around a lot easier.
Beautiful!! The white is so lovely! Thanks for all the autumn inspiration! I’m really enjoying the daily posts! Thanks
Thanks, Karen!
Love your early fall dining room look … especially all the white. The lantern is perfection!!
Love that lantern. I had to laugh–didn’t even see the word FALL in the first photo! I had to scroll back up. Definitely subtle! 🙂
It looks so pretty and inviting! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Love those tall wooden candlesticks. Love the wooden lantern. Have started collecting them but have yet to find a wooden one.
My favorite time of the year! #FallSeason

You’ve installed the fall fever in me?
beautiful!…love the candlesticks!
Beautiful ideas. I love the simple colors!
I tend to use a lot of neutral in our house and I like to add touches of seasonal colors. I like the on-going natural atmosphere this creates in a house. I also find that neutrals are very relaxing and welcoming.
Happy almost Fall Yvonne!!!….Always love the way you style your table for Fall. I am seeing more and more natural wood in accessories lately…love the look!
I’ve been enjoying your website and decorating style for quite some time. Decided it was time to let you know I appreciate and feel refreshed with your style. It isn’t cluttered but it is truly Eclectic. Thank you for such a nice clean house and joy in decorating and even using Nature and found objects
Simply beautiful. I too love fall it’s my favorite season of them all. As all ways your home decorating ideas are so inspiring and well put together. I just grabbed a pen and paper to start jotting down what I need to start my fall decorating . Thank you Yvonne for all your beautiful posts. God bless .hope you have a wonderful day.
I’ve been so busy and distracted all summer I haven’t been able to comment. I love Fall as well and love the idea of gradually welcoming the season into my home. I love the lantern!
The table is lovely. Glad I’m not the only one who missed “FALL” the first time through. The white letters are subtle. Love the lantern.
Looking forward to fall and decorating for the season. I too like the light colors and love the white pumpkins, and light colored fall accessories. Your dining room looks lovely.
Love the warm inviting look of your decor. Orange is not my favorite color and
the neutrals are easier to live with. Great ideas!
Just beautiful! Love the neutrals, as I’m not a fan of orange.
I have primarily gray, blue and white in my home. I like neautral accents, but a pop of the oranges looks great for fall mixed in. Can’t wait to decorate for my fave season!
In love with this preseason fall look.
Can you share your sources for the candle holders and galvanized latern. I so want to reproduce this!?
The candlesticks and lantern came from a local shop.
So welcoming and comfortable!
Its so gorgeous! Your dining room is for bright! I really love the simple fall touches.
I’ve always enjoyed your blog and always loved your style…still do…I do enjoy more color than you prefer. We are all different and have various likes and dislikes. I know you don’t have control over the advertising pop-ups but they are soooooooo annoying! Not being critical of you but…….
Just the perfect touch to begin our early Fall decorating! I love those turned candlesticks.
Absolutely love your new logo. My favorite thing apart from the wreath is the beautiful blue script you used. Congratulations on you new look.
Love the new format; indeed more personal! Good job.
You have inspired me to add a little FALL decor to my house this weekend.
Those candle sticks are pretty much amazing! Your dining room looks fabulous!
Kate

Hello,
I tried to reach you via your blog site but the Captcha was not working.
Can you please tell me the source on the cement dining table? I just completed a small conservatory that will be both a dining/sitting room. That table is perfect!
Yes, here’s the link: https://rstyle.me/n/cvqy2wb6by7
This is a magnificent table. Very well make and I just wipe it off with a damp rag. You will LOVE it!
Beautiful! I love dining room decorations
How did you hang your stoneware lids? I don’t see any hangers. Your fall is beautiful. I am going to make the acorns!!
Hi Di! See this post: https://www.stonegableblog.com/the-best-way-to-hang-plates-on-a-wall-without-wires-or-magic/
I love every bit of your wonderful design. I love white, also. Want to change more of my decor to white. I keep things neutral and use pillows, etc. for pops of color. Thank you for your inspiration.
I’m moving soon to a new appartment, and I have pinned your advices about color, proportion and others . They will be so helpful!
Good Fran! Enjoy your home home!
