PEONY BOUQUET TABLE IN THE DINING ROOM
A big peony bouquet is like a little bit of heaven! So when my peonies bloomed I gathered up a huge arm full to set a peony bouquet table. Keeping the mood of the table romantic and feminine, this table would be perfect for a small gathering for a bride-to-be!
Today is Styled + Set! I’m thrilled to be a part of this group of very talented decorators and bloggers! Thank you, Lory, at Designthusiam for organizing us!
Make sure to visit my friends below and see what they are creating for you this month!
Today’s table is simple, white and romantic! Peonies are the star!
This table features peony bouquets both big and showy and small and sweet!
THE PEONY BOUQUET CENTERPIECES
Two large bouquets of pink and white peonies grace the center of the table in glass containers. They smell divine!
EACH PLACE SETTING
Each place was set with my favorite square plates. I have collected hundreds and hundreds of dishes over the years and keep going back to the same few. These pretty edged plates are a great companion to the ruffly edged peonies on the table!
When a tiny single peony bouquet perches on the top of pretty white dishes the look is so ethereal!
I put each peony in simple stemless wine glasses.
They make the perfect vase! Wouldn’t these little bouquets make the perfect takeaway gift?
I call these peonies “ballet pink”. They remind me of a pink tutu! My daughter was a ballerina for 13 years and ballet pink pink tutu’s were a part of our lives!
The pop of color on this peony bouquet table are the hot pink rolled napkins at each place settings.
Because of the feel of the table I used my everyday flatware, Napoleon Bee. Bee’s and just peonies go together!
ADDING BLING TO THE TABLE
Bees and peonies go together and so does silver!
So it made sense to use my silver candlesticks to accent the peony table! Silver candlesticks are another collection of mine. And they reflect a bit of the pink color on this table!
When peonies are in bloom here at StoneGable it’s a time to celebrate and create a beautiful tablescape!

Those are some of the most beautiful peonies I have ever seen and the ballet pink is my absolute favorite flower. Thank you for starting my day with them. I would love to know your gardening tips on how to plant and take care of them. Also, do you have any tips for finding quality flatware?
Here’s a link for the flatware: https://rstyle.me/+FL2v1aidTcCJIq8lGzjEyQ
It’s on sale now at a great price! This flatware is fabulous! I invest in my everyday, workhorse flatware. The rest is found very reasonably!
I have tried several times to access the link for the flatware. It just shows as a bad link.
Will you check this please or is there another source?
Thank you, Cassandra
Many a morning in May I have run out to the garden with clippers in hand to save my Peonies from what I call Peony Rain. This is a heavy rain event that topples Peonies with no thought to their beauty. I love your pink ones and the lovely table you set. Much better to enjoy them inside than find them shredded in the garden by a storm. The scent of these flowers is like no other.I must plant more.
Hi Kathy, I think the scent of peonies is my favorite! They are such beautiful flowers. And what a great analogy! Beauty is often fragile. Now take the marigold- such a sturdy plant and no smell and not great beauty. I love them because they were my Nani’s favorite. She loved them for their tuffness!
I love the look of your tablescapes. You decorating is such an inspiration to me. But what I would like to know is how you eliminate bugs when you bring in fresh flowers like peonies. I’m reluctant to bring them in the house because of the ants and spiders.
HI Ruth, what a great question. I often cut my flowers and leave them in my big farmhouse kitchen sink and rinse them down the drain. I have to admit I’ve had an ant or two over the years crawling on my table because of my peonies. Brave the bugs and such! It’s such a shame not to enjoy fresh garden flowers.
I love peonies and have several varieties in my garden.
How do you deal with the ants that like to hitch a ride on the peonies into the house?
Opps as soon as I posted my question someone asked the same concern. Sorry
EGADS! I love peonies, but it’s too hot and dry in central Alabama to grow them. I was thrilled to see your Napoleon Bee flatware on that gorgeous table. I just ordered a set of it last week after seeing it again on another blog. I belong to a brunch group of 12 women who meet at a different home one Saturday each month for our Busy Bees Brunch. We even collect a “honey pot” of $10 from each person attending. Then the hostess decides where the money should go–a ministry, a special need, a mission. We’ve been doing this for about 5 years now and have loved it.
Wow, what a fun idea Donna! Yes, Alabama is just too far south for them to grow.
Good morning! How exquisite, Yvonne! You inspire me each day I receive your email! Some I save for future reference! May I ask where you bought your square plates? Fantastic! ?
This is such a beautiful table, Yvonne! I love the pink peonies so much. They are always such a treat this time of the year.
Hi Kristen,
Peonies are my favorite! Your rose and peach table is divine. I can almost smell it! Beautiful!
Yvonne, your table is lovely and those peonies are just beautiful against the neutral background.Love the pink accents,I am a pink girl !
Yvonne, I love your table setting!!! White, pink, and silver go together so perfectly. The ballet pinks are my favorite peony. I have the bee flatware ( stemware as well) and love to use them with spring and summer settings. Hasn’t our weather been glorious? We had so much rain last spring and early summer. Hugs!
Wow. They are exquisite!!!
This is so pretty that it makes me sigh. What a lovely presentation to offer your guests!
So beautiful! Peonies always remind me of my Grandmother. Wishing for smellavision.
Me too!
You and I are certainly on the same wavelength this week Yvonne as I used pink peonies in my table setting as well! However, yours are the prettiest shade of pink – just stunning!! Love every inch of this pretty table!!

Thanks Sheil! So sweet!
I have to tell you after I read your blog and saw your table settings, I had to go out and find that bee flatware! Just gorgeous! My everyday flatware is Wallace Continental gold bead, so I got the Napoleon Bee in gold to mix the two. My husband will have a cow when he sees more flatware but I’m going to blame it on your gorgeous pictures!!
Wow, Gigi! I bet the combo is just stunning!
What a beautiful tablescape. I love how it is so simple but elegant, and you manage to let the peonies be the star of the show. They are about my favorite flower. Too bad they only last a few days. The rain got mine this year so hardly got to enjoy them. But I’m enjoying yours!!
I feel the same way about Peonies! I love them so much so I try to bring them in the house when they bloom.
So much to love about this gorgeous tablescape Yvonne, I can almost smell those peonies!!
I can’t seem to make the link work for the square plates, and they are seriously calling my name. Would you mind reposting that link, please? 🙂
I picked a single, short stem, yesterday, and place it in a clear, green glass that was my mom’s. My 5 year old grandson commented that it looked like a “whole bunch of flowers”.
Absolutely stunning!! Are these really from your garden? How incredibly fortunate! And the way you presented them is just lovely!
Yes, they are! I have three big peony bushes.
I have beautiful peonies but the leaves crumble and/or they have ants. How can you put them inside with ants.
I give them a good shake and a lot of the ants come out and fall off. Then I put them in my big sink and as the ants crawl out I wash them down the drain. Just like all things you take the good with the bad!
Absolutely gorgeous, Yvonne!
Simply stunning, Yvonne!
I love everything about this table setting! The white place setting, the mercury glass candle holders, the flatware…just beautiful! Look at how those hot pink napkins pull out the depth of color from within the layers and folds of the peonies! Peonies are at the top of my favorite flowers list, and I love how you’ve made them center stage here. What a blessing to have such an abundance of them in your garden!
>>> Kim
Yes, Kim! The peonies are pretty special and they are a blessing! Thanks for stopping by!
I LOVE peonies! A gorgeous addition to your table.
Beautiful as always. ….
Hi Yvonne,
I only had one peonies bloom this year. Several buds, but never bloomed. Any suggestions?
Loved your various container filled peonies arrangements, of shapes and sizes.
Kathy
Not sure Kathy. Did you cut the buds and see if they bloomed inside?
