MENU PLAN FEB 21TH
Need dinner ideas? I have a week's worth of scrumptious dinner menu and other must-make delicious recipes too! Main dish recipes, side dishes, soups, bread recipes, salad recipes and lots of yummy desserts. Here's what's on the menu this week...
This week’s menu plan is a real winner with lots of seasonal flavors and a scrumptious sweet treat! Creative dishes that have been tested and approved by hungry families like mine! Let’s see what’s on the menu this week…
I love warm and comforting food like soups and stews! They make our whole home smell scrumptious! On the menu this week there are delicious comfort foods that are just perfect to cook and eat this time of year!
MONDAY
We love chili! And this week the chili is a hearty meal with chicken and cannellini beans, and corn. White Chicken Chili is the perfect slow cooker meal for a busy weekday!
Thanks, Erin from Suburban Simplicity
- CROCK POT WHITE CHICKEN CHILI
- CHIPS, SALSA, AND GUACAMOLE
TUESDAY
I’ll try not to jump the gun and make these for lunch on Monday! I love the idea of wrapping crescent rolls around chicken! So fun and YUMMY! And such an easy and fast meal!
I think I’ll make these again for lunch on Sunday when my grandchildren will be here. They will love this chicken too!
From a new-to-me blog Written Reality! So glad I found this recipe on Pinterest!
WEDNESDAY
LOVE the name of tonight’s featured main dish blog! Foodness Gracious, doesn’t that just about say it all?
I love to pan fry cod! It’s such a beautiful fish. And adding citrus and basil makes it glorious! This is another meal that does not take a lot of time and fussing! But it looks and sounds just so so good!
- PAN FRIED COD IN A CITRUS AND BASIL SAUCE
- ISRAELI COUSCOUS WITH ARTICHOKE, RED PEPPER, FETA, AND LEMON
THURSDAY
Bobby will be a very happy boy when he comes home tonight and sees this amazing pasta dinner from Julia’s Album!
FRIDAY
I’m so excited about tonight’s main dish. I’ve eaten it for as long as I can remember. It’s what call a heritage recipe. My Nani made it and my Mom made it too. And I’m sure my great grandmother made it and her mother before her. Sauteed Chicken is such an easy peasy recipe but it is so comforting and delicious.
If you have not already tried it I hope you will. This might be your family’s next favorite!
- NANI’S SAUTEED CHICKEN
- MASHED POTATOES
- PERFECTLY ROASTED ASPARAGUS
SATURDAY
My son’s favorite dish is Shepherd’s Pie. He first ate it on a hunting trip in Vermont when he was 13 and has loved it ever since. I don’t make it often but it is perfect for a cold weekend meal.
I’ll make double mashed potatoes (from yesterday’s menu) and use them to top the Shepherd’s Pie.
This recipe calls for peas and I don’t eat peas. But the rest of my family loves them. So instead of picking all those horrid little peas out, I’ll leave a corner of the casserole pea free and take a scoop from there.
If you don’t like peas and either do the people eating the Shepherd’s Pie you can substitute carrots or other veggies.
SUNDAY
I’ve made this scrumptious pork chop dinner before and LOVED it so much I’m making it for Sunday dinner with the family.
Thanks How To Feed A Loon, another StoneGable Foodie Favorite.
- SEARED PORK CHOP IS CAPER SAUCE
- CHEESY GARLIC SCALLOPED POTATOES
- ROASTED GREEN BEANS WITH BACON
TREAT OF THE WEEK…
I love desserts you can make by doctoring the box! The cake mix box! And I know any recipe from On Sutton Place will be delicious. So I call these cake mix cookie bars a huge win/win… and scrumptious too!
OTHER RECIPES I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE…
PUFF PASTRY HAM, CHEESE, AND BROCCOLI PIES
EASY CINNAMON ROLL COFFEE CAKE
Have a scrumptious week!
Thanks so much for featuring my delicious Chili, Yvonne. Have a great weekend!
