Need ideas for dinner this week? I have 7 scrumptious dinner menus and 31 delicious recipes just for you! Main dishes, side dishes, salads, soups, breads, desserts, and great tips and ideas for making every meal its best! Here's what's On The Menu week of July 11th.
Summer is finally sizzling here at StoneGable! And it’s so humid too! So we are GRILLING! If you don’t have a grill you can use a cast iron grill on your cooktop! Grilled food is extra tasty! Here’s what’s On The Menu week of July 11th…
MONDAY
Come on over Mom! Fish tacos are her favorite! So she will be having dinner with us for sure! The recipe calls for fried fish but this recipe tastes great with any way you want to cook it!
- BAJA FISH TACOS
- GARDEN TOMATOES
TUESDAY
I think pasta night is Bobby’s favorite night of the week. I’m a big fan of this recipe because it uses whole wheat pasta which is less processed and has a nice chew to it. And this recipe uses one of my secret weapons for keeping a creamy recipe more healthy and figure friendly.
Mixing equal parts yogurt and cottage cheese in a food processor makes a creamy dairy product that can be substituted for cream! And it tastes so delicious.
This recipe from Becca at My Crazy Good Life can be made in an Instant Pot, Slow Cooker, or on the stovetop!
WEDNESDAY
Tonight’s main dish is packed with so much flavor. We are big carnivores here at the Tanglewood House! And this steak dish is full of big beefy flavor. I’m going to add only 1 tsp of sugar to the scrumptious marinade because the balsamic vinegar is sweet. Thank you, Kitchn for this yummy recipe.
The marinade is a keeper and can be used on other beef cuts, chicken, and pork.
Have you made Nani’s Sauteed Rice before? If you read the On The Menu posts I’m sure you have seen this rice so many times! My grandmother made this rice and it is a family favorite.
If you make one thing this week Nani’s Sauteed Rice should be it!
- BALSAMIC GLAZED STEAK TIPS AND MUSHROOMS
- NANI’S SAUTEED RICE
- SLICED GARDEN TOMATOES
THURSDAY
Have you ever made White BBQ Sauce? I’ve never made it before and am so excited to give it a try. It has all the tasty umami flavors I love! Thanks, A Family Feast.
I’ll be making extra chicken and broccoli salad for lunches the rest of the week. And I’ll be using boneless skinless chicken breasts for some of the chicken.
- WHITE BARBECUE CHICKEN and WHITE BARBECUE SAUCE
- SKINNY BROCCOLI SALAD
- SLICED GARDEN TOMATOES
FRIDAY
Friday’s are pizza night and a movie when our grandkids are here. It thrills me that our children are also embracing this tradition that was part of their childhood!
So it’s frozen pizza for the kids and this gorgeous flatbread pizza for the adults. Just looking at the image makes me hungry
We all love pizza! And creating one on a flatbread is a brilliant idea! Thanks, Brenda from A Farmgirl’s Dabbles!
- FARMER’S MARKET FLATBREAD PIZZA
- DELICIOUS ARUGULA SALAD WITH SHAVED PARMESAN, TOASTED PINE NUTS, AND A LEMON VINAIGRETTE
SATURDAY
Raise your hand if you like/love casseroles? I do! I love the marriage of amazing flavors and the ease of a one-dish meal! Thanks, Slap Dash Mom!
SUNDAY- FAMILY DINNER
When you have family or a crowd of people to feed, try these make-ahead scrumptious meatballs! They will be the best meatballs you will ever make! No bragging, just truth!
So make sure to put them on your menu this week!
I’ll be having the meatballs without the spaghetti and won’t miss it at all! But I will have an extra slice of artisan bread!
- GRANDMA LO BIANCO MEATBALLS AND SPAGHETTI
- ANTIPASTA SALAD
- NO KNEAD, NO MESS ARTISAN BREAD with CARRABBA’S COPYCAT DIPPING OIL
SWEET TREAT OF THE WEEK
This beautiful icebox cake used a store bought pound cake between layers of lemon cream and blueberry sauce. Oh, how heavenly!
What a beautiful dessert from Tricia at Make Room For Dessert! I can’t wait to make this luscious icebox cake!

Hi Ethel, I just snapped that image.
I made the Tuscan Chicken Pasta and my husband and I think that it is better than our favorite Italian restaurant! I totally agree with you that the cottage cheese and yogurt blended is better than Alfredo sauce! We loved it! Thank you for sharing! Delicious.
