On The Menu Week Of August 15th
Need ideas for dinner this week? I have 7 scrumptious dinner menus and 33 delicious recipes just for you! Main dishes, side dishes, salads, soups, breads, desserts, and great tips and ideas for making every meal its best! Here's what's On The Menu week of August 15th.
August is a great month in the garden. Right now our tomatoes are overproducing and I can get delicious produce like corn, apples, and zucchini at our local farm market! Here’s what’s On The Menu week of August15th.
I often get asked what I eat for breakfast and lunch.
I’m really not much of a breakfast eater but around 10:00 I drink a protein shake or have a piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt. If I’m really hungry I’ll eat granola with almond milk or a hard boiled egg and fruit.
Right now I’m eating lots of our garden tomatoes with basil and a drizzle of olive oil. My go-to salads are Arugula Salad or Caeser Salad. And I eat lots of homemade soups and leftovers for lunch too.
I get a huge after lunch slump if I eat too heavy. So I feel much better if I eat lighter.
I also get asked if I eat all the food One The Menu each night. I don’t but Bobby does! So mostly I cook for him.
There are a lot of amazingly delicious recipes On The Menu this week!

SWEET TREAT OF THE WEEK
I was introduced to Raw Apple Cake the first year I taught! We had a teacher luncheon and some angel-of-a-parent made this cake! Oh, it is my very very favorite!
I feel like I’m giving you a gift if you have not tried Raw Apple Cake. If you make one thing on the menu this week this should be it! The post is old and the photographs are really horrible but the apple cake is divine! If you make one thing this week make this!
I just took this delicious Raw Apple Cake out of the oven. I’m updating the super old but gloriously good recipe for Saturday. I’m glazing this Raw Apple Cake. Oh, yum! Our whole house smells scrumptious.

Have you changed your website and somehow I’ve missed it? I didn’t get an ON the Menu email this week. I had to
search through old emails from your site, find the menus in your index and click on it. The menu for August 13th was
there so I was able to access it. I love and look forward to the menu plans each week. Thank you for all I’ve learned
regarding cooking and decorating. Blessings to you and yours.
