I thought I was prepared for the blizzard but some of my family are coming to StoneGable to “hunker down” (a Lancaster colloquialism) and wait out the storm! I love that we have the fun, go-to house! So I’ll be cooking and enjoying lots of company for a few days. And I couldn’t be happier! I pulled out my blog recipes to decide what warm and cozy recipes to make and thought you might like a some of them too, no matter what the winter weather in your area! 10. Thanks, Yvonne, for the yummy looking recipes; they seem easy too with no hard-to-find ingredients! . No snow here (yet!) in southern Ontario. I wonder what Saturday or, perhaps, Sunday will bring. Since you like that fluffy white stuff, I’ll let you keep it down your way. Keep warm!

  11. Yum and another yum. Oh these dishes look so good and hearty. I had to call my husband to ‘come and see’ the dishes. Thank you Yvonne for sharing and I love the home style cooking and baking. What a privelege to enjoy such wonderful dishes. We get snow in S.Africa once evey 10 years or so, yet, when the cold winds blow over the snow capped Drakenberg mountains in July, it is a freezing cold wind that cuts to the bone. We usually have 2 – 5 days of that weather, not fit for any animal to be outside. Our dogs stayed inside come rain or shine. Enjoy the snow, it changes the look of the gardens completely, I took photos as so many other people did and we agree a totally unrecogniseable picture. We could not believe the change in scenery. Keep warm, be blessed.

  12. What great recipes. Thanks for sharing. stay warm.

  13. Oh, to be able to sit and watch the activity in your busy, warm kitchen. Thank you for these delicious looking recipes.
