I’m sharing how to make the easiest and sweetest little Christmas arrangement you will ever make!
Before And After
You probably have a little pot of faux greenery kicking around your home somewhere. I found this faux plant in the basement and thought it might be perfect to transform into a mini Christmas arrangement.
What You Will Need
With just a few faux green clippings and a couple other embellishments, my Christmas arrangement was easy to put together.
Here’s what you will need…
- small faux plant
- pretty container- I used a white pot I had
- assorted faux evergreen clippings
- Christmas embellishments
I assembled all the things I needed in one place to make it easy to create my evergreen arrangement.
Here’s How To Make A Simple Christmas Arrangement
The first thing I did was put the little pot of faux greens into another pretty white pot. What a difference already!
I have a few plastic shoe boxes of what I call Christmas fluff. Little snippets of faux greens and sparkly branches and leaves and other little things.
I love to cut apart garland and sprays of greens to make fluff. These little bits and bobs of greens and other things come in so handy when I’m decorating for Christmas!
Using the bits of evergreen, like the ones above, I went to work and tucked them evenly into the plant. I didn’t even glue them in. One of the bits of evergreen had a pinecone stuck to it, so I just added it to the arrangement too.
It’s starting to look a bit more Christmassy!
Pro Tip
An arrangement looks nicer if more than one type of evergreen stems is used in them.
So, I found these little juniper pieces and added them to the arrangement.
These little green gave my Christmas arrangement so much depth and interest! When making a Christmas arrangement, use different greens.
I also added a few sparkly leaves just for a little bit of holiday bling!
In just a few minutes, the little faux houseplant was transformed into a pretty arrangement!
So easy, right?
I used this simple Christmas arrangement in a holiday vignette on my white buffet.
Now, it’s your turn! Grab a small faux houseplant and turn it into a Christmas arrangement to use in your holiday home.

I love this idea! I am always looking for something to demonstrate for a club I am in and I think this would be a great idea.Since Covid hit, we are trying to use people in our club as a resource speaker instead of someone from outside.
A easy idea for you, I was trying to find a way to Make an arrangement using a Fresh pumpkin, without cutting the pumpkin open. On Pinterest I saw an idea. Use a piece of water foam and tape it to the Pumpkin. Place fresh greenery and flowers Into the water soaked foam. I made one and then demonstrated it at my club. It was a hit. We auctioned both of them off as a small fundraiser at that meeting.
What a great idea Oma! Thanks for sharing!
Uh oh, I feel a trip to Michaels coming on! Looking at this 20 minute ideas post is not good for someone like me who doesn’t have enough places to decorate. Pretty soon I will be decking out the closets! These would be great for table decorations for a party.

Thanks, Linda! The little arrangement is super easy!
Can’t wait to go from fall to Christmas and winter decorating. Funny how we tire of the very decor we loved so much in October. Sitting with a cup of coffee this morning studying my fireplace and jotting down plans for my Christmas mantle and hearth. At the same time reading my favorite blog and thinking where I can use your idea for your cute arrangement. Thanks Yvonne and have a great week.
LOVE to hear you are taking the ideas from StoneGable and making them your own in your home! Just my desire for everyone who reads StoneGable!
Love it! I’m inspired to do this❣️
Yay! So easy, right?
Really like this. I save all of the bits and bobs, even very small items, after I’ve made larger arrangements and use them in various ways throughout the year. I particularly like to use the tiniest bits on small grapevine wreaths that can be used as tree or package decorations. I can really get into flow making these small embellishments. Thanks for sharing.
Me too Teddee!
